What you have to try:

SUP-ing
SUP Traverse City. Stand up paddleboarding (SUP-ing) is the most popular new watersport in Traverse City. If you’ve ever wanted to experience what it feels like to walk on water, then SUP-ing is for you! If you can kneel, sit, or lie on your belly then you can master a SUP in a matter of minutes. And if you have a well-behaved pooch, your four-footed friend can even SUP with you! Yoga fan? You can do that on a paddleboard as well—they have instructors at the ready!

Kayaking
Traverse City Kayaking. Kayaking is by far TC’s most popular watersport. With single, double, and even triple boats to choose from, kayaking truly is floating fun for the whole family. It’s adventure à la carte: Leave from the beach at Clinch Park, or jump in our truck and get dropped up at one of three points on the Boardman river for a one-hour, 90-minute, or two-hour float—all ending right back in Downtown TC. With all the amazing bicycle trails in our area, you can even bicycle upriver and paddle down!

Bicycling
Traverse City Biking. Clinch Park sits at mile marker zero on the world-class TART trail system. Rent a bike near the beach and head off on beautiful, flat, paved trails for miles in any direction. Attach a trailer or tag-along to your bike (they rent those too!) and bring your youngest of children on a beautiful, safe, and scenic tour of vineyards, orchards, lakes and rivers.

Kabrewing Traverse City. Kayak + Craft Beer= KaBrew, the newest fad for localvores, aficionados, or people (21 and over, of course) that just like having fun! Offered daily (4-7pm), by bike and by boat, an expert guide ushers you through the doors of TC’s hottest brew pubs and shows you Traverse City as you’ve never seen it before!
